Project name: Step into Democracy

The aim of the project is to increase by 5% the voter turnout of young people aged 17-24 in Bucharest for the 2024 elections.
The objectives of the project are:
OS1: Increase awareness of the importance and impact of voting in the local community with a minimum of 15,000 young people aged 17-24 from Bucharest during the 11 months of the project.
SO2: Development of civic competences of 190 no. of young people (aged 17-24 from Bucharest Municipality) on decision making processes, institutions and their roles and youth policies in the EU and Romania during the 11 months of the project.
SO3: Increasing active involvement in communities for a number of 20 young people aged 17-24 from Bucharest during the 11 months of the project.
The activities we propose are:
- Project management activities (participant selection activities, monitoring activities, evaluation activities, activities to promote and ensure the visibility of the project and the Erasmus+ programme, activities to exploit the results and document policy recommendations for decision makers);
- Information campaign (online and offline) for 15,000 young people aged 17-24 years old in Mun. Bucharest; (M1=>M11)
- Step into Democracy - 6 workshops of 3 days, each workshop for 25 young people = 150 young people; (M3=>M8)
- Step into National Democracy - 5 days mobility for 30 young people with event; (M8)
- Step into European Democracy - event for 50 participants; (M8)
- Step into European Democracy - 3-day mobility in Brussels for 10 young people; (M9)
Profile of participants:
- Young people aged 17-24 years;
- Young people from Bucharest;
- Young people who have the right to vote or will obtain it before the last elections in November 2024;
- Young people who want to develop their civic skills;
- Young people who want to get involved in the community;
